Sara Cox isn’t vegan, but she’s passionate about her health and fitness and a true advocate of DR.VEGAN®. “I’ve always been the sort of person to look after my fitness and health, but I’ve got to be honest, the last year has tested me more than ever. You really notice when your body needs that extra support. I need to feel good, and I need to feel boosted to be able to tackle whatever it is I’m about to throw myself at.” Sara says.
Sara started looking into supplements and was shocked at how so many supplements have loads of rubbish in them. Speaking exclusively with DR.VEGAN®, Sara explains her journey to discovering DR.VEGAN’s award-winning and third-party-tested supplements and how they help her to thrive.
“I absolutely really love my job, but I’m quite a busy woman. So we’ve got the radio, got my writing, my books. On top of that I’ve got my gorgeous three kids, husband to keep happy, my horse. I mean, do I continue? Three dogs, three cats, two tortoises – they’re no trouble. Life is full on, so I need to be in tip-top condition.” Sara explains with her trademark laughter.
Sara recently completed her epic marathon challenge, raising millions of pounds for charity, which took months of training and conditioning and took a serious toll on her body, from which she’s still recovering. “I have been doing more training than ever before in my life, so it's really important to me that I look after my body and that my energy does not dip.” Sara says. “For years I thought all supplements were exactly the same; ingredients are ingredients. What can the difference be?”
Sara explains what DR.VEGAN® customers know too well. “It turns out there’s a lot of difference. Some are made with poor forms of ingredients, not enough ingredients, and weak dosages. Not only that, but they also contain additives, rubbish that you don’t need in your body. I thought that’s a little bit out of order, as realistically, who’s got time to do hours of research into supplements?”
Sara decided to get the opinion of professionals on which supplements to take. “I asked the experts; I really wanted to make sure that I got the very best supplements and ingredients, and that’s when I discovered DR.VEGAN. I’m not vegan myself, but why wouldn’t I want to take a vegan supplement, ‘cause you’re guaranteed not to have any weird animal derivatives in there.”

“DR.VEGAN has done all the research for me; they don’t use any additives. They really believe in keeping supplements pure. I feel better. I feel stronger. As I get older and, well, more fabulous (cue trademark laughter), what matters to me is that I know exactly what I’m putting into my body and that I’m using a product I can trust, and I trust DR.VEGAN.”
“All I can say is thank heavens for Women’s ProMulti. It’s a multivitamin and also a probiotic, 28 nutrients in there as well as, hello, 5 billion live cultures. It’s got everything I need for my energy, my hormones, immunity, skin, and very important for my job - focus.”
Alongside Women’s ProMulti, Sara also takes the multi award-winning Gut Works®.
“There’s been more research than ever into the importance of gut health, and it turns out it’s pretty important. And the clue is in the name – it’s called Gut Works, babe; it works. Other brands, you’re looking at what, two or three billion? This bad boy has 50 billion squeezed into here and six scientifically studied strains.” And how does she feel when taking Gut Works? “You will just know when you use this that, well, everything’s working in there, right, beautifully.” Sara says.
Recognised by many due to her iconic fringe, Sara’s hair always looks fabulous, full, and glowing. So what’s the secret behind her hair?

“My hair was feeling a little bit dry, and it was looking a tiny bit dull, so I decided I needed help, and I wanted something that would work from the inside out. I wasn’t interested in a quick fix, so my saviour is quite literally Hair Saviour.” Sara continues, “It’s got 14 nutrients, all there to keep your barnet gorgeous. It also contains pea sprout extract – I mean, who knew you needed that for your hair, but you do.”
And when did she notice the difference in her hair after taking Hair Saviour®? “So after about four weeks, here’s the deal. I began to notice less shedding, and after about 6 weeks I began to see some new hair growth coming through, which I really began to notice properly after 8 or so weeks. I’ve got to say, with my iconic fringe, it’s looking fuller and better than ever. The bottom line is, my own hair, all these bits here (pointing to the top of her head), just feel healthier, definitely feels fuller.”
