Hair thinning, hair loss, and declining hair condition are among the most commonly reported cosmetic and health concerns, affecting men and women across a wide age range. Causes include nutritional deficiencies, hormonal change, stress, and age-related factors. Despite the prevalence of these concerns, high-quality, prospective customer outcome data for hair supplement products remains limited. Hair Saviour® is a nutritional supplement developed by DR.VEGAN®, formulated with a comprehensive blend of clinically studied vitamins, minerals, and botanicals designed to support hair strength, growth, condition, and thickness. This abstract reports user-reported outcomes from a cross-sectional survey, with analysis focused on the subgroup of customers who had taken Hair Saviour® for at least 2 months at the recommended daily dose.
A cross-sectional customer feedback survey was administered to DR.VEGAN® customers who had purchased Hair Saviour®. In total, 194 responses were collected. For this analysis, responses were filtered to include only those who: (i) reported having taken Hair Saviour® for at least 2 months or more (including 3–4 months and 4+ months subgroups), and (ii) reported taking the recommended dose daily. This produced an analytic sample of n = 76. Respondents rated overall effectiveness on a four-point scale (extremely effective, somewhat effective, not so effective, not at all effective) and indicated whether they had noticed improvement across four specific hair health domains: hair strength, new hair growth, hair condition (shine/gloss), and hair thickness. Time to first notice a benefit was also captured. Those who had taken Hair Saviour® for fewer than 2 months, or who had not adhered to the recommended daily dose, were excluded from the primary analysis, as these groups are unlikely to reflect the supplement’s potential efficacy. Duration breakdown within the analytic sample: 2–3 months, n = 40 (52.6%); 3–4 months, n = 15 (19.7%); 4+ months, n = 21 (27.6%).
Of 76 qualifying respondents, 60 (78.9%) rated Hair Saviour® as somewhat or extremely effective. 23 respondents (30.3%) rated it extremely effective and 37 (48.7%) somewhat effective. 8 respondents (10.5%) rated it not so effective and 8 (10.5%) not at all effective. See Figure 1.
| Effectiveness rating | n | % of users |
|---|---|---|
| Extremely effective | 23 | 30.3% |
| Somewhat effective | 37 | 48.7% |
| Combined positive response | 60 | 78.9% |
| Not so effective | 8 | 10.5% |
| Not at all effective | 8 | 10.5% |
Across the four measured domains, hair strength was the most frequently reported area of improvement (68.4%), followed by hair condition (60.5%), new hair growth (54.7%), and hair thickness (47.4%). Overall, 86.8% of respondents noticed improvement in at least one area of hair health, while 23.7% reported improvement across all four domains. See Figure 2.
| Area of improvement | Reporting Yes | % reporting Yes |
|---|---|---|
| Hair strength | 52/76 | 68.4% |
| Hair condition (shine / gloss) | 46/76 | 60.5% |
| New hair growth | 41/75 | 54.7% |
| Hair thickness | 36/76 | 47.4% |
| At least one area improved | 66/76 | 86.8% |
| All four areas improved | 18/76 | 23.7% |
Analysis of domain combinations reveals that hair strength and hair condition together were the most impactful pair: at least one of these two improvements was reported by 83.3% of respondents. When a third domain is added, three combinations reach or exceed this threshold: strength + new growth + condition (86.8%), strength + condition + thickness (86.1%), and new growth + condition + thickness (83.3%). Hair condition appears in every combination that crosses the 80% mark, establishing it as the most broadly shared area of benefit. Among the 66 respondents who reported improvement in at least one of hair strength, new hair growth, or hair condition, 87.9% rated Hair Saviour® somewhat or extremely effective, and 0% rated it ‘not at all effective’ - a strong directional alignment between measurable hair improvements and overall effectiveness that confirms the internal consistency of the data.
Of the 76 respondents, 64 (84.2%) reported a specific timeframe in which they first noticed benefit. The majority (50.0%) first noticed a difference within 4–8 weeks, while a substantial proportion (28.1%) required 8 weeks or more. Faster responders accounted for a smaller share: 12.5% at 3–4 weeks and 9.4% at 2–3 weeks. Seven respondents (9.9% of the full n = 76) reported that they had not yet noticed a meaningful difference. See Figure 3.
| Time to first-noticed benefit | n | % |
|---|---|---|
| 2–3 weeks | 6 | 9.4% |
| 3–4 weeks | 8 | 12.5% |
| 4–6 weeks | 17 | 26.6% |
| 6–8 weeks | 15 | 23.4% |
| 8 weeks or more | 18 | 28.1% |
| Within 8 weeks (cumulative) | 46 | 71.9% |
| Haven't noticed much difference yet | 7 (of 76) | — |
Among customers who took Hair Saviour® daily for 2 months or more, the product demonstrated a strong and consistent pattern of user-reported benefit. Nearly four in five respondents rated it positively for overall effectiveness, and over four in five noticed improvement in hair strength or hair condition - the two areas most consistently reported across the sample. The finding that not a single respondent who noticed physical hair improvement also rated the product ‘not at all effective’ is particularly notable and indicates strong internal validity within the dataset. New hair growth was reported by more than half of respondents (54.7%), a meaningful outcome in a supplementation context, since new growth is typically the slowest and most biologically demanding of hair health outcomes, requiring sustained nutritional support across multiple hair cycle phases. The time-to-benefit data is consistent with this biology: while some users noticed results as early as 2–3 weeks, the majority required 4–8 weeks, and over a quarter needed 8 or more weeks. These findings support the importance of consistent daily use over a sustained period as the key condition for experiencing the full benefit of Hair Saviour®, and provide a basis for communicating realistic expectations to prospective users: meaningful hair improvement is achievable but is most likely to be experienced by those who commit to daily supplementation for at least 2-3 months. Prospective, controlled studies with standardised hair measurement tools would strengthen the evidence base further.
