How to take it?

  • Take two capsules daily and begin to see results within 30 days.
  • Skin Saviour® contains active, skin friendly bacteria so it's important to take your capsules at least 20 minutes before or after a hot drink - otherwise the heat of food or drink can harm the active bacteria.
  • Ideally take your capsules on an empty stomach, together or separately during the day.

How it works?

Skin Saviour® is a plant-based collagen builder with 350mg of vitamin C, 150mg of high-strength hyaluronic acid, four antioxidant botanicals and 5 billion live cultures, for fine lines, hydration, clarity and tone.

80% of people find Skin Saviour® more effective than the collagen supplements they had tried before.

Building collagen rather than swallowing it

This is where Skin Saviour® differs from collagen powder.

Collagen is a protein, and your digestive system treats it like any other protein: it breaks it down into amino acids before anything reaches your bloodstream. Swallowed collagen does not travel to your face intact. What your skin actually needs is the raw materials and the cofactor that lets it build its own collagen, and that cofactor is vitamin C. Without it, the collagen-building process cannot happen, which is the reason Skin Saviour® provides 350mg.

Conventional collagen supplements are made from boiled animal ligaments and bones, or from fish skin and bones, and nearly half of people are unaware of this.

Hydration and fine lines

Hyaluronic acid is a compound your skin already makes, and it is extraordinary at holding water. It sits in the matrix between your skin cells and keeps them plump, which is what gives young skin its bounce. Production falls with age, and skin that holds less water shows lines more readily.

Skin Saviour® provides 150mg of hyaluronic acid. In two Japanese trials, taking hyaluronic acid daily for twelve weeks softened crow's feet and improved skin moisture. In an eight-week trial of 33 adults, rosehip extract did the same, with crow's feet growing shallower and skin holding more moisture.

Wrinkles and fine lines were the most common concern in our survey, reported by 68% of respondents, who first noticed them at an average age of 44.

Clarity, blemishes and renewal

Your skin replaces itself constantly, pushing new cells up from below to the surface over roughly 28 days. Clarity depends on that process running cleanly.

Zinc supports DNA synthesis and cell division and is involved in skin repair, which is why it has been used for blemish-prone skin for decades. Vitamin A drives cell specialisation, the step where a new skin cell becomes what it needs to be, and it is the same pathway the retinoids in topical skincare work on.

Clarity and brightness are usually what people notice first when taking Skin Saviour®, because they depend on the surface layer, which turns over fastest.

Tone, firmness and protection

Most visible skin ageing is not time passing. It is accumulated damage from UV light, pollution and oxidative stress, and it is the part you can actually do something about.

Skin Saviour® provides four antioxidant botanicals protecting your skin. In a 12-week trial in women, green tea left skin less reddened by UV light and more elastic. In a 12-week trial, bilberry improved wrinkle depth, skin firmness and evenness of tone. In a six-month study, grapeseed lightened facial pigmentation patches in most of the women taking it. Vitamin E and selenium work alongside them, protecting your cells from oxidative stress.

The gut-skin axis

Your skin and gut are connected by the gut-skin axis. Your gut regulates inflammation throughout your body and influences how well you absorb everything your skin is built from.

Skin Saviour® provides 5 billion live cultures of Lactobacillus acidophilus LA85 with inulin, the prebiotic fibre it feeds on. This is also why a supplement can reach skin that a cream sitting on the surface cannot.

For your hair as well as your skin, we recommend Hair Saviour® alongside Skin Saviour®.

What to expect, and when

Skin works to its own timetable.

Clarity and brightness come first, usually inside 30 days, because they depend on the surface layer that renews every 28 days. Hydration and plumpness follow. Fine lines and firmness take the longest because they depend on collagen deep in the dermis being rebuilt, which is a matter of months rather than weeks. Trials behind the ingredients in Skin Saviour® ran for 8 to 12 weeks.

How diet can support skin

Glowing skin is a sign of inner health. The first signs of poor diet and poor gut health are often displayed on your skin, and the link between your gut and your skin is called the 'Gut-Skin-Axis'.

Look for food rich in Vitamin C like kiwis, and eat healthy fats containing Omega 3 like flax seeds and more. Your diet is always the first place to start for glowing skin and our nutritionists explain 'The best foods and nutrients for glowing skin'.
